The YULA Performing Arts program has been staging productions for over four decades. Currently under the direction of Margy Horowitz, we produce three shows during each school year (one musical and one non-musical at the Girls Division and one non-musical at the Boys Division).
Each production mirrors the professional stage, from auditions through set construction, sound, lighting design, public speaking skills, and leadership training. Our Performing Arts program is a time-consuming and work-intensive activity through which each student gains the benefits of an arts program as well as the invaluable rewards of cooperative effort.
Our students have shined on stage in dramas, comedies, and thrillers, including Hamilton, The Greatest Showman, Little Shop of Horrors, High School Musical, Of Mice and Men, Father of the Bride, and Arsenic & Old Lace.
